First Post

My name is Kimberly Combs and I am working on my senior project to benefit the American Cancer Society.

I hosted a mother/daughter tea party where my friends and their mothers designed and decorated quilt squares.  I have pieced the squares together and made the Helping Hands Quilt. Pictures of the event are below. Photos taken by my dear friend, Lindsay.

The quilt will be entered in the Pitt County Fair in the hopes of winning a ribbon.  The Fair Staff has graciously given permission for the Helping Hands Quilt to be raffled and all proceeds to be given to the American Cancer Society.  To purchase a raffle ticket simply contact an attendant while in the exhibit hall.  It only costs $1.00 for a chance to win.

Here a sneak peak at the finished quilt. I hope to have a better picture uploaded soon.

Helping Hands Quilt

I am very excited to be appearing on WITN7 on Monday, Oct. 4th at 6:20 am with Heather King.
The Lady Pirates are having an event in September that I hope to be involved with.  I also plan to participate in the Greenville Mall/ViQuest Health Fair Day in October.

Cancer has touched my life through family and friends. I want to join the fight and help in a small way.

If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me!
